Group thrashes and urinates on tribal youth over old rivalry

BHOPAL: Four miscreants allegedly abducted a 22-year-old tribal man, took him to a plantation area, stripped him naked, and brutally assaulted him in Hanumanganj area.

When he became exhausted and semi-conscious, they urinated on his face. The accused recorded the entire incident themselves and circulated it on social media. Hanumanganj police registered a case on charges of attempt to commit culpable homicide and assault and have arrested the accused.

Police said the complainant lives with his family in Kamla Nagar. He was at Nadira Bus Stand on the night of April 26–27 with his two friends, having tea at night, cops said.

During this time, Guttu alias Pistol, a resident of Naya Basera in Kamla Nagar, arrived and, under the pretext of conversation, made him sit in his car. Inside the car were Prem Thapa, Rohit Pawar, and a minor. All four began questioning him about his friend and neighbour Aniket. When he denied having any information, they started beating him. The accused drove the car towards Chhola and Karond Square and then into a forest beyond Karond.
