Bhopal: The House was adjourned for 5 minutes amid an uproar over a Congress-BJP clash in Indore and Bhopal on Saturday. BJP MLA Rajendra Pandey demanded a Call Attention Motion discussion on the political clash in the House on Tuesday. However, Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar did not permit it, saying that the discussion was not scheduled for the day.

The BJYM announced a gherao of the state Congress office in Bhopal on Saturday as a counter-protest to the shirtless agitation of Youth Congress workers at the AI Summit in New Delhi last week.During the Zero Hour, BJP MLA from Jaora Rajendra Pandey wanted to read out his Call Attention Motion on the Congress-BJP clash in Indore and Bhopal. Minister for legislative affairs Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Pandey submitted his request for the discussion on "Congress hooliganism" on Tuesday morning. Vijayvargiya said that several BJP workers were injured during the clash.Former minister and Congress MLA Sachin Yadav argued that BJP workers beat up Congressmen and then lodged an FIR against them. "Our party offices were attacked," Sachin Yadav said. This started an uproar, with allegations flying from both sides. Congress MLAs claimed the BJP was involved in violence and arson, while the ruling party MLAs blamed the Congress for the clash that occurred on Saturday.Speaker Tomar asked legislators on both sides to sit down. However, the ruckus continued, and the Speaker adjourned the House for 5 minutes.
