Jabalpur: A woman and a four-year-old boy were killed, and four others injured late Saturday when six passengers who had just alighted from the Jan Shatabdi Express at Madan Mahal station in MP were struck by a passing goods train while crossing the tracks. Group — three women and three children from Narsinghpur —mistakenly stepped down on the wrong side of the train and were attempting to reach platform 1 when the speeding freight train hit them around 11.30 pm. Pushpa Soni, 40, and her four-year-old grandson Rajveer died during treatment, while Sagar Bai, 50, remains critical. Shivani Patel, 22, and her two children, aged four and two, survived with injuries, and another woman, Sanno Bee, escaped unharmed after narrowly avoiding the train.
