Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday thanked his ministerial colleagues and senior officials for their hard work in carrying out development works, implementing welfare schemes and pulling the state out of the crisis at the time of Corona.
He said the promptness with which the “team MP” worked for successful implementation of “Ladli Bahna” scheme or better performance in the implementation of central government’s welfare scheme is really commendable and thanked his ministerial colleagues, principal secretaries and the chief secretary for their dedication and hard work.
Chouhan said that officials should be cautious that implementation of welfare schemes for the poor and the needy doesn’t get lax after the Model Code of Conduct comes into force. During Corona, there will be meetings with officials day in and day out. There were occasions when I got angry but they took it in the right spirit.
When we came back to power, the Corona scare was there. There was disappointment and hopelessness everywhere, it must have been for the first time that the chief minister was in-charge of all the departments for a long long time. Then, five ministers were inducted. We held 374 meetings on Corona. In more than 3-and-a-half years of our regime, we have achieved a lot and my colleagues in the state council of ministers, officials worked with me hand-in-hand, he said.
