Madhya Pradesh to celebrate Ramnavmi in grand style on April 10: Minister Usha Thakur

Madhya Pradesh government has decided to celebrate Ramanavami on April 10, in a grand manner this time. Several programmes and events would be held on the occasion wherein actors would also take part.

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh government has decided to celebrate Ramanavami on April 10, in a grand manner this time. Several programmes and events would be held on the occasion wherein actors would also take part.
Officials said the celebrations would be held in 12 districts, including on the Ram Van Gaman Path- a path trekked by Lord Ram during exile.
Culture, tourism and religious trust and endowment minister Usha Thakur informed that on April 10, Ram Navami, devotional and cultural programmes will be held in the state dedicated to Lord Ram.

With the chanting of Jai Shri Ram, the entire state will immerse in the devotion of Lord Ram. The "Shri Ram Rajya" art gallery will be inaugurated in Orchha, the city of Lord Ram. Faith in Lord Ram will be shown by lighting 5 lakh earthen lamps (diyas) in the deepotsav on the banks of the holy river Betwa.
Minister Thakur informed that along with Orchha, Ramleela festival will be held in Chitrakoot from April 4 to April 10, 2022. Along with this, dance, drama, devotional singing and other programmes related to Lord Ram will be held in Ujjain, Damoh, Shahdol, Umaria, Vidisha, Shivpuri, Neemuch, Panna, Ratlam and Rajgarh. There will be activities related to art and literature dedicated to Lord Ram for the general public in 12 districts of the state.
Thakur informed that "Orchha Gaurav Diwas" will be celebrated till April 10. Cultural presentations centred on historical characters of Orchha's folk fame will be organised. The architectures, which give dignity to the specialty of Orchha city, will be equipped with lighting devices of different colours. Charit Nayak Lala Hardaul and Maharani Ganesh Kunvari based dance-dramas will be staged throughout the nine days of Navratri. On Ram Navami, traditional singing groups of Bundelkhand region will be invited and presentations of Bundeli Ram Katha songs will be organised at different places in the city, on the platforms of the houses. With these presentations, the local people will be able to see and listen to the glory saga of these famous heroes as well as the Bundeli folk verses of Ram Katha in their own dialect.

She informed that “Shri Ram Rajya” art gallery based on the character of Lord Ram has been prepared by the Culture Department in Ramraja Sarkar Temple Complex Orchha. In this, one each character of Lord Ram has been depicted in the folklore styles of almost all the states of India. The 36 qualities of Lord Ram and their uniqueness have been given a picture expression. Along with this, his coronation event has been artistically displayed in the form of a tableau.
Minister said that Lord Ram is revered as a king only in Orchha in the whole country. Therefore, in the evening of April 10, on the banks of the holy river Betwa, five lakh diyas will be lit simultaneously in the deepotsav to show faith in Lord Ram.
