Stuntman dies after fire-spitting stunt at event attended by CM
Bhopal: A stuntman died after attempting a fire-spitting stunt involving diesel during an event attended by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Chhatarpur district.
The incident occurred around 5.30 pm on Saturday in Naugaon, around 23 km from the district headquarters. The stuntman, identified as Kabir Singh, 30, and a resident of Kanpur, had come to perform at the event alongside his team of nine people from Uttar Pradesh.

The accident occurred nearly an hour before the scheduled arrival of Chief minister at the event.
Sources said Kabir Singh had pre-existing respiratory issues that worsened after holding diesel in his mouth for the stunt. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital and later transferred to the district hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
A postmortem was conducted at the Chhatarpur district headquarters, and the case was registered as an unnatural death. The case will subsequently be transferred to the Naugaon police station for further investigation.
“He came with a group of performers and they were trained professionals. However as soon as he developed complications he was rushed to local hospital and then to district hospital where he died. Body was handed over to kin after autopsy on Sunday, a case has been registered at Chhatarpur and it will be transferred to us. Further course of action would be decided after the investigations,” Naugaon police station incharge, Deepak Yadav said.
