Berhampur: Two persons died while five sustained injuries when their car rammed into a stationary vehicle near Nandigam on National Highway 16 in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
Among the dead was V Dalaya (48), a paralysis patient from Pati Sunapur in Ganjam district, who was being taken to Viskhapatnam for treatment. Also among the deceased was V Mohini Amma (50), Dalaya's sister-in-law.

The front portion of the car had suffered extensive damage in the collision. The injured were first admitted to a govt hospital in Tekkali and later shifted to Srikakulam and MKCG Medical College and Hospital. Their are said to be out of danger.
Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.
