2 dead, 5 injured in accident

Berhampur: Two persons died while five sustained injuries when their car rammed into a stationary vehicle near Nandigam on National Highway 16 in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.Among the dead was V Dalaya (48), a paralysis patient from Pati Sunapur in Ganjam district, who was being taken to Viskhapatnam for treatment. Also among the deceased was V Mohini Amma (50), Dalaya's sister-in-law.The front portion of the car had suffered extensive damage in the collision. The injured were first admitted to a govt hospital in Tekkali and later shifted to Srikakulam and MKCG Medical College and Hospital. Their are said to be out of danger.Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.
