Stone, marble works steal show

BHUBANESWAR: Vegetables and fruits made of stones and marbles were the major attractions at Odyssey, the ongoing annual Research Scholar Exhibition at Lalit Kala Akademi here. As many as 20 art works, including 14 paintings and six sculptures, were displayed in the exhibition.
Six research scholars of fine arts akademi, including Azizur Rahman Shah, Mayadhar Sahu and Saroj Kumar Rout of Odisha and Gyanesh Kumar Patel of Chhattisgarh, Mukesh Kumar Singh from Bihar and Rajiv Pradhan from Jharkhand, displayed their art works at the exhibition.
The vegetables of stones and marbles were carved by Mayadhar Sahu. The vegetables sculpted by Mukesh Kumar Singh also looked real. The exhibition was inaugurated by painter Dinanath Pathy and will continue till September 24.
