Chandigarh: The goods and services tax (GST) collection saw a whopping 16% increase in October 2024 in comparison to October 23. In October 2023, the UT administration collected Rs 210 crore of GST revenue. This increased to Rs 243 crore in Oct 2024. The ministry of finance, Government of India, has released the state-wise GST collections data for October 2024. The increase in the year-on-year GST revenue follows a 10% dip in revenue in September. As per the GST report released by the Union finance ministry, Chandigarh administration generated GST revenue of Rs 197 crore in Sept 2024, which was Rs 219crore in Sept 2023.
