Computer teachers protest again

PANCHKULA: Around 300 computer teachers once again protested before Shiksha Sadan, Sector 5, on Monday demanding a new policy that would provide them employment in the education department.
For the last 43 days, the teachers have been camping behind Shiksha Sadan. They have been spending sleepless nights and living away from their families. On Monday, holding various banners and sloganeering 'We Want Policy', 'Vande Mataram' and 'Inquilab Zindabad', they tried to draw government attention to their plight once again. They forcefully entered Shiksha Sadan as police force was very less in comparison to the teachers present, but police managed the situation by talking to them. More force was called in later. CTWA members held their protest for 5 hours.
Suresh Nain, media spokesperson of Computer Teacher Welfare Association (CTWA), said, "We need a policy so that people like us get employment. We have to fulfill the needs of our family members."
State president of CTWA, Balram Dhiman said, "On one hand, the government has promised us to make some policy for our future and on the other, they are hiring new teachers. We are protesting against this move."
The computer teachers also met M L Kaushik, director of secondary education, Haryana, who said that we would work according to government decision.
