Chandigarh: Manimajra police have arrested a former employee for deliberately torching a car seat cover showroom in the Motor Market.
The suspect, Toheed, who was fired a month prior after three years of employment, was captured on security footage starting the blaze on May 31. The fire ripped through the basement, fueled by stored foam, plastic, and leather.
Seven fire engines battled for three hours to contain the inferno. Police arrested Toheed following a formal complaint by the shop owner.
