Now, the case has been fixed for further hearing on November 10.
When the matter came up for resumed hearing before the bench, UT senior standing counsel requested the bench to issue notice to the bar association also, so that suggestions of the said association may also be received. The standing counsel also gave a suggestion for shifting the oath commissioners seats to some place outside the main building of the high court for sake of security, as a large number of persons have to enter the main building for getting their affidavits attested.
In this PIL, the petitioner had contended that the security system in Punjab and Haryana high court is quite lax; anybody can enter from gate no-1 after assuring that he is just to get an affidavit attested from an oath commissioner. tnn
