Hawara, Bheora produced before court

Amidst tight security, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) chief Jagtar Singh Hawara and BKI India operations chief Paramjit Singh Bheora, were produced before district court on Wednesday in connection with Burail jail break case.

CHANDIGARH: Amidst tight security, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) chief Jagtar Singh Hawara and BKI India operations chief Paramjit Singh Bheora, were produced before district court on Wednesday in connection with Burail jail break case.
Hawara and Bheora were brought from Tihar jail in tight security where they are presently lodged to face trial in the 2004 New Delhi blasts case.

The duo have already been convicted in Beant Singh assassination case. The case has now been deferred to August 4. Meanwhile, drama was witnessed inside the court when Hawara and Bheora's counsel alleged that Delhi police officials misbehaved with him. The judge pacified the situation. Bheora and Hawara were shifted from Burail jail in Chandigarh to Tihar Jail in New Delhi for the hearing of the bomb blast case.
Jagtar Singh Hawara and his associates Jagtar Singh Tara and Paramjit Singh, all three accused in the murder for former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, escaped after digging a tunnel in the jail in 2004. An under trial, Devi Singh, also escaped.
