Hawara's sisters visit jail

CHANDIGARH: Jaswinder Kaur and Harpreet Kaur, sisters of the main accused in former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh-assassination case, Jagtar Singh Hawara, were the main attraction at Burail Model Jail on the day of Rakshabandhan.
Sources said the convicted ultra of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) group, Jagtar Singh Hawara, gifted Rs 150 through his jail labour coupons to each of his sisters on Tuesday.Both the sisters along with their family members had arrived from Fatehgarh Sahib.
Hawara is lodged in solitary confinement and nobody is allowed to meet him.
Meanwhile, jail sources said more then 150 sisters visited to tie rakhis on the wrists of their brothers. They were allowed meeting time till evening hours. The authority had made special security arrangements for this festival.
