CHANDIGARH: The investor, Krishan Kumar, was accused of cheating six men of lakhs of rupees. Two FIRs were registered against him at sectors 3 and 17 police stations.
The questioning of some of his friends revealed that Kumar was seeking Rs 60,000 from them. Sources in police said, "Kumar had told his friends that he wanted the money to hire an advocate."
Meanwhile, the tower location of his cell-phone showed that he had been to sectors 22, 36 and Manimajra before his phone was switched off.

The police have also obtained details of his rivals against whom Kumar had moved complaints in different police stations and Sector 43 district courts.
SHO of Sector 17 police station Dilsher Singh Chandel said, "Five former partners of Kumar, who ran an investment company along with him, are being questioned."
