PM Modi in Hisar on September 28: Bishnoi

HISAR: Former MP Kuldeep Bishnoi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a massive rally in Hisar on Sept 28, following which the political climate in Haryana will completely favour the BJP.

While interacting with mediapersons at BJP district office on Friday, Kuldeep claimed that the BJP will form the govt with full majority for the third time in the state.

Rally convenor Kuldeep said the Prime Minister will address the rally at the ground near Airport Chowk in Hisar and will seek support for the BJP in Haryana. He said preparations for the rally were underway.

Reacting to the Congress manifesto, Kuldeep said the Congress makes big promises, but these are not fulfilled after the party comes to power.

He pointed to Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Karnataka as examples where large promises when failed to deliver lead to public discontent.

He said after Chaudhary Bhajan Lal’s rule, the BJP govt has ensured equal development in the state, with many youths finding jobs while sitting at home.

On the question of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal campaigning in Haryana, Kuldeep asked when will the AAP get the Satluj Yamuna Link Canal (SYL) water for Haryana from his Punjab govt. It is only the Punjab govt that is creating obstacles in the process, he added. Regarding the ongoing controversy regarding senior Congress leader Kumari Selja, Kuldeep said she is a senior leader of Congress but the party is not treating her well.

6.7 lakh seized

Sirsa police have seized Rs 6.7 lakh from four people in four separate cases. Sirsa superintendent of police (SP) Vikrant Bhushan said Rs 2 lakh was seized from Vikash, a resident of Janata Bhawan, Sirsa; Rs 2.1 lakh from Surya Prakash of Bhuratwala; Rs 60,235 from Pankaj of Rajasthan; and Rs 2 lakh from Gurmel, a resident of Ellenabad. The said amount was recovered during a checking drive in Hisar, the SP said.
