Online booking begins for 21-bed dormitory at Hamirpur Circuit House

Shimla: The state govt has launched an online booking facility for the 21-bed dormitory at Circuit House Hamirpur by integrating it with the existing HIM Atithi portal from May 20.The initiative was introduced mainly to benefit students visiting Hamirpur for competitive examinations and other educational activities by providing affordable and convenient accommodation. Himachali residents will be charged Rs 100 per bed, while non-Himachali residents will have to pay Rs 200 per bed. The booking can now be done online through the HIM Atithi platform. The govt earlier started online booking for govt rest houses and circuit houses in May 2025 on a 50% advance payment basis to make the facilities more transparent, accessible and citizen-friendly. The initiative has significantly improved the occupancy of rest houses and circuit houses while also increasing govt revenue and public accessibility, particularly for tourists, students and other visitors.
