Mayor meets Union min on Chandigarh’s green agenda

Chandigarh: City mayor Saurabh Joshi Wednesday met Union minister for environment, forests and climate change Bhupender Yadav to discuss key environmental and development priorities for Chandigarh.During the meeting, the mayor raised issues related to environmental protection, scientific waste management, strengthening green infrastructure, pollution control, ecological conservation, beautification, and sustainable urban planning.The Union minister heard the proposals and assured full cooperation and support from the Centre for Chandigarh’s environmental initiatives and future projects.
