Punjab assembly speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Sunday expressed grief over the demise of actor, director, and producer
Mangal Dhillon.
The speaker, in his condolence message, said the untimely death of Dhillon, who was born at Wandar Jatana village in Faridkot district, has left a void that is difficult to fill.
He acknowledged that Dhillon brought fame to the region both nationally and internationally, and his passing was a significant loss for the film industry.
Dhillon had been receiving treatment at a hospital in Ludhiana for the past month. He played pivotal roles in numerous acclaimed Hindi and Punjabi films as well as television serials, earning him prestigious awards and recognition.
The actor was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment at Ludhiana cancer hospital for the last one month.
