SDM orders case against school officials in 4-month-old accident case

On the morning of March 4, 13 students of the school, hailing from Mudhan and Talwandi Bharon villages, were killed when their bus had a head-on collision with a truck coming from the opposite side on the Jalandhar-Nakodar road near Gohir village.The high court had issued detailed directions about operating school buses, but in this case norms were violated as the vehicle was not registered to be plied as a school bus, the SDM had noted during the inquiry.Parents of the deceased children had alleged that even prior to the mishap they had complained to the school management about reckless driving by the driver.
