Mohali: After officials vacated the vaccination centre in Phase-3B1 on verbal orders,
Congress leader and deputy mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi on Tuesday took a jibe at the AAP government in the state.
“AAP claims to provide comforts, good schools and hospitals to the people, but on ground it is depriving the people of the facilities provided by the Congress government,” he said.
Bedi said earlier the dispensary of Phase-3B1 was shifted and the place was allotted to Liver and Biliary Institute, and now the vaccination centre running in a temporary shed next to it has been verbally ordered to be vacated by the government. About 400 to 500 children are vaccinated here every month. Bedi demanded that the district health department should withdraw this verbal order immediately.
In his statement, Bedi said he was surprised by the decision of the government that all the goods be removed from the temporary shed by verbal order and the employees do not even know where the goods have been taken.
He said he has filed a case in the Punjab and Haryana high court over the issue.
