Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will conduct an aerial visit of flood-affected areas of Tamil Nadu on 7th December 2023 which were hit by the devastating cyclone ‘Michuang’. School education department postpones half-yearly exams in Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts due to Cyclone Michaung. The exams for government, government-aided schools are scheduled to start on Thursday. The exams scheduled for December 7 and 8, will be conducted on December 14 and 20, school education department has announced.

Two helicopters were launched to drop 500 packets of food materials and ration. More sorties would be launched to distribute relief supplies in other affected areas.
