Rules for hotels on foreigners

Chennai: The Avadi police have told hoteliers and house owners accommodating foreigners to issue them form 'C'. This is mandatory under Foreigners Act 1946 to provide information to police.
Services to foreigners like registration, visa extension and exit permission are rendered through website Indianfrro.gov.in. The lodge owners, house owners, schools, colleges and hospital managers who provide accommodation to foreigners in Avadi jurisdiction should create a user ID on the website and issue a form 'C' to foreigners under the direction of Avadi police commissioner’s office.
People providing accommodation to foreigners, who have not yet created these user ID, should approach the foreigners registration branch at the Avadi police commissioner office. Any clarification in this regard can also be received from 044-26379500.
