Spl drive against drunk driving

Chennai: Police have been instructed to conduct a three-day special drive against drunk driving and underage driving.
As per police commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore’s instructions, the police are to set up three temporary checkpoints in all the 102 police stations in the city on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and target people riding under the influence of alcohol.
The police conducting the checks have been asked to slap cases on triple-riding, helmetless riding, drunk driving and driving without a valid licence. Rathore has also asked police to conduct similar checks to crack down on all violaters.TNN
