CHENNAI: Leaders of political parties in
Tamil Nadu on Sunday greeted BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan, who has been appointed as the governor of Telangana.

M K Stalin called up Tamilisai and congratulated her. Later Stalin tweeted: "I wish my dear sister Tamilisai, who comes from a famous Tamil political party family, all the best. I hope she will work for the downtrodden and will maintain values," said Stalin.
Stalin and Tamilisai used to have war of words almost daily over his statement or speeches against the BJP and the Centre.
Dravida Kazhagam chief K Veeramani also congratulated Tamilisai. In a statement, Veeramani said, "Though we were polls apart in policy level, still I used to call her as my dear daughter as her father Kumari Anandan and I were students in Annamalai University."
Tamil Nadu Congress Committee chief K S Alagiri, AMMK leader T T V Dhinakaran and TMC chief G K Vasan also greeted Tamilisai.
