CHENNAI: A day after exercising her franchise for Rajya Sabha polls today,
AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa will leave for Kodanad in the Nilgiris hill district on Friday and will stay there for a few weeks where she will continue her administrative duties.
An official release from the state government here said she would look after her official work from there.
The release, while indicating that the CM would be staying in Kodanad for a few weeks, did not specify the date of her return.
Sources from the secretariat said the chief minister will leave Chennai Friday morning by a special flight. The last time she left for Kodanad was in June 2012 soon after the assembly session.
