Two die in accident

Chennai: Two men died and an another man sustained critical injuries in a road accident near Tiruttani. One of the deceased, Chandran, 43, a construction supervisor from TV Puram village, was returning to Tiruttani with his assistant, Padmanaban, on a motorcycle after completing construction work at R K Pet. When they reached Agur village, Chandran lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and struck Panneerselvam, 65, who was walking along the road.

All three sustained serious injuries. Locals rushed them to Tiruttani Government Hospital, where Panneerselvam was declared dead on arrival. Chandran later died of injuries despite medical intervention. Padmanaban remains in critical condition. Tiruttani police have registered a case and are investigating.
