Water supply in Tondiarpet to be hit from today evening

Chennai: Water supply will be suspended in parts of Tondiarpet from Monday evening until the next day night due to major pipeline interconnection work being carried out by Metrowater.

The work will be undertaken at the junction of Kathivakkam High Road and JJ Nagar A1 Street in Tondiarpet Zone. Water distribution through pipelines in several areas under zone 4 (Tondiarpet) will be halted from 5 pm on June 8 to 8 pm on June 9.

The disruption will affect localities, including Ezhil Nagar, MGR Nagar, Bharathi Nagar, Kamarajar Nagar, and Ambedkar Nagar. Metrowater said the Patel Nagar water distribution station will also remain non-operational during the maintenance period.

Residents can book tanker water through the board’s ‘Dial for Water’ service on Metrowater website.
