35-year-old man killed as ceiling plaster falls off
A 35-year-old man died after plaster from the ceiling of his rented house at Bharathi Nagar Third Street at Ramanathapuram in the city fell on him on Saturday.The deceased was identified as K Vinoth Kannan.
The deceased was identified as K Vinoth Kannan. He had been staying in the house with his wife Sharu, 26, two daughters and his father Krishnan, for the last eight years, and was running a PVC door manufacturing unit.
On Saturday around 1.45am, chunks of ceiling plaster fell on him, killing him on the spot, police said.
The Ramanathapuram police sent the body to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem and registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC. The body was handed over to the family in the afternoon.
