Jewellery stolen from locked house near Coimbatore
Unidentified people broke open a house at Othakkalmandapam on the outskirts of Coimbatore and took away 19 sovereigns of gold jewellery, worth Rs 1.90 lakh.
On November 23, N Mani Maran, 62, and his family members locked the house and went to Chennai. When they returned on Tuesday, they found the front door of the house broken open and 19 sovereigns of gold jewellery kept in a cupboard missing.
The Chettipalayam police registered a case and began investigations.
