Krishnagiri: Shoolagiri police commended a 50-year-old woman who handed over Rs 38,000 to the police station after finding a handbag on a bus near Shoolagiri.
P Joswin, from Shoolagiri Bazaar Street, found an unattended handbag on a seat while travelling on a bus to Krishnagiri. "When I opened the bag, I found Rs 38,000 in cash and a mobile phone in it," she said, adding that she later handed it over to the Shoolagiri police .
Police inquiry revealed that the bag belong to K Munirathina, 28, from Elaseppally village near Shoolagiri.

"When I got down from the bus at Shoolagiri, I forgot to take the handbag from the seat," Munirathina said.
Later, police lauded Joswin for her honesty.
