Sex racket busted in Dehradun, 3 held
Dehradun: A prostitution racket allegedly being run from a house in a colony under Cantonment police station area was busted in Dehradun on Tuesday. Three people, including a woman, were arrested and three other women rescued.Following specific input received by SSP Pramendra Dobal, a joint team of the anti-human trafficking unit (AHTU) and local police conducted a raid on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday."During the raid, officials found at least four men and women in a compromising position and recovered objectionable items from the premises. Investigators said the racket was being operated from a house owned by the arrested woman, who is suspected to be the key accused. Two men were also arrested under the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act," said a police officer privy to the investigation.SSP Dobal said the woman was allegedly using an instant messaging app to run the racket.The accused were produced before a local court on Tuesday and sent to jail.
