A blast was reported at the abandoned Wadala Bangar police post in Kalanaur Tehsil, Gurdaspur district, on December 19.

Khalistan Zindabad Force claimed responsibility for the attack in an unverified report circulating on social media.

It was the second explosion in the district within 48 hours and the eighth incident in Punjab since November 24. Despite heightened police presence in the area, no casualties or damage to property were reported.
