NEW DELHI: A 32-year-old man was shot dead in North East Delhi’s Shastri Park on Sunday.
Police received information at around 11:24 pm regarding a firing incident in the Shastri Park area.
Upon reaching the spot near Buland Masjid, police found that the victim, identified as Sameer alias Kamoo Pehlwan (32), a resident of Shastri Park, was already taken to a hospital by his family members.
He was declared brought dead by the attending doctors.
Forensic teams examined the crime scene and collected evidence. A case was registered under the relevant sections at Shastri Park police station, and an investigation is underway. Police teams were deployed to identify and arrest those involved in the crime.
The incident came days after a man was shot dead inside a club in North East Delhi’s Maujpur.
