New Delhi: A fire broke out at a house in outer Delhi’s Begumpur on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred behind Begumpur police station, officials said.
According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS), a distress call regarding the blaze was received around 2.07 pm. Four fire tenders, along with nearly 24 fire personnel, were dispatched to the location to contain the fire.
Upon reaching the spot, firefighters found that the blaze had originated in a designer paper pouch manufacturing machine installed on the ground floor of the building. Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control.
The fire was extinguished by 3.10 pm. No fatalities were reported.
