DDA to earn revenue from ads at parks and sports complexes
New Delhi: Aiming to generate additional revenue from its portfolio of sports complexes, parks, community halls, golf course and other infrastructure assets, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has begun the process of appointing a consultant to develop a structured advertising framework across its properties. Through an e-tender, DDA has invited bids from agencies to carry out a market assessment and prepare a revenue plan for regulated outdoor and indoor advertising at identified sites.

Officials said the selected agency will conduct site surveys, GIS mapping and identify high-visibility advertising locations. The assessment will consider visibility from the road, pedestrian footfall, movement patterns, safety, structural feasibility and environmental sensitivity. The final submission will include an inventory of recommended sites, complete with photographs, coordinates and dimensions. The consultant will also suggest suitable advertising formats across categories of sites, including wall-mounted panels, pole-mounted structures, backlit units, digital screens and freestanding displays. Once the contract is finalised, the consultant will support DDA in appointing advertising agencies and supervising implementation for an initial three-month period. According to officials, a price discovery report will detail the methodology for determining rate slabs to ensure transparency. To ensure long-term viability, the consultant will prepare five- to 10-year financial projections.
