Shaheedi Park at ITO has undergone a transformation under the waste-to-art theme as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to mark 75 years of India’s Independence.
It is likely to be inaugurated on August 8 and will be open for public from the next day, an official said. At the park, visitors will be able to see 11 art galleries made along water channels, showcasing a chronological history of India and the road to its Independence.
About 200 tonnes of scrap, including parts of old vehicles, electricity poles, pipes, irons rods, etc, have been used to make the installations.
