NEW DELHI: Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia met representatives of various Ramlila committees on Monday and said the Delhi government would provide them full support.
“Like every year, the Kejriwal government will give full cooperation to the committees for organising grand events of Ramlila across Delhi,” Sisodia said in a statement, adding that Delhi’s Ramlila was famous all over the country and part of its tradition and culture since ages.

The deputy chief minister said preserving and promoting these cultures was the priority of the Kejriwal government. He said one such example was the Ramlila that had been organised every year in the Ramlila Maidan for the past two centuries. “The Kejriwal government has always supported the organising committees to host the grand Ramlila event every year. This year, too, the government will provide complete support so that Ramlila can be staged in various parts of Delhi with pomp and gaiety,” he added.
The meeting was attended by Brajesh Goyal, chairman of Chamber of Trade and Industry, Delhi Ramlila Federation and Luv-Kush Ramlila Committee president Arjun Kumar, general secretary Subhash Goyal, president of East Delhi Ramlila Federation and Indraprastha Ramlila Suresh Bindal, and representatives of various Ramlila committees of Delhi.
