Faridabad: Her mother away, baby drowns in a water bucket

FARIDABAD: A toddler, just one and a half years old, died after she fell into a bucket of water and drowned at her grandmother's house in Shyam Nagar Colony on Thursday.
According to police, the toddler's mother had left the house to relieve herself when the incident took place. The toddler's elder sister (6) was inside. "The family told us that the woman had asked her elder daughter to supervise the toddler.But the girl somehow didn't see for a moment and the toddler went into the bathroom and fell into a bucket of water," said Sube Singh, Faridabad police spokesperson.
The family rushed the toddler to a nearby clinic and later to the BK Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. "We will decide on the course of action after interrogating the neighbours. that the autopsy report is awaited," Singh said.
