Man reaches school, tries to abduct girl in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD: A man has alleged that an unidentified person attempted to kidnap his daughter, a Class 4 student, from her school in the Vijay Nagar area. Police have formed three teams to nab the accused.
In his complaint, the man claimed that the suspect went to his daughter’s school on January 23. “Introducing himself as Aditya Sharma, the suspect told the school management that he had come to take the girl away as her parents were detained by the police,” ACP (Kotwali) Anshu Jain said.
The school management, however, refused to oblige and contacted the family members, he added.
On a complaint from the girl’s father, an FIR under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 511 (attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life) of IPC has been lodged. “During investigation, we found that Kumar had received a friend request on Facebook from a person by the name of Aditya Sharma on that day,” Jain said.
“Three teams have been formed to investigate the case and the cyber cell has also been roped in,” he added.
