Art exhibition cum sale at KA

The Pyde Pyper art academy, Caranzalem, will organize an exhibition cum sale of drawings, paintings and photographs at the Kala Academy from October 13 to 15. The exhibition will be inaugurated by fashion designer Wendell Rodricks on October 13 at 4pm. Over 400 students are enrolled at Pyde Pypers, out of which around 150 students aged five years and above will be exhibiting around 300 of their works at the show.The exhibition will be open on October 14 and 15, between 9am and 7.30pm.
Seminar on business immigration: The Goa chamber of commerce and industry (GCCI, in association with the government of Manitoba, Canada, will organize a seminar on 'Business immigration' at the GCCI's Timblo hall, on October 15 at 4pm. Ajay Pande, business immigration officer, government of Manitoba, Canada, will speak about the business immigration programme of the government of Manitoba - a programme that invites business owners and senior managers to immigrate and invest in Manitoba. 'Excon 2011' road show in Panaji: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Goa state office, will organize a road show at Hotel Fidalgo on October 14 at 6.30pm. The road show in Goa is being held with an objective to showcase the sixth edition of 'Excon 2011' to be held between November 23 and 27 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore. The mega fair on construction equipment industry will be chaired by Vipin Sondhi, managing director and CEO, JCB India Limited. Konkani book release: 'Jvalamukhi', a book of more than 60 essays written in Konkani Roman script by Guadalupe Dias, will be released at Tiatr Academy of Goa's conference hall, Campal, Panaji, on October 15 at 4.30pm. The book release function has been organized by Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA). Director of information and publicity Menino Peres will be the chief guest, while Fr Alvaro Martins, parish priest of Mae dos Pobres church, Nuvem, will be the guest of honour. DKA president Premanand Lotlikar will preside over the function. Noted Konkani writer and poet Walter Menezes will review the book, while Konkani writer Mathew D'Souza will compere the function. The book has been published under DKA's Kombri Scheme.
