Elvis Gomes moves high court over seniority list

PANAJI: Elvis Gomes, a senior bureaucrat of the Goa civil services, has moved the high court challenging the seniority list recently issued by the state government.In the seniority list dated June 24, 2014, Gomes, who is the director of municipal administration, was at no. 2 after Swapnil Naik. In the revised list issued on August 19, Gomes was pushed to the fourth place. Sandeep Jacques is placed first, followed by transport director Arun Desai, following representations submitted by the two. All these officers are in the selection grade and some would be considered for elevation to IAS cadre.
