Ponda: The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has finally fixed the vertical height barrier on Gaundalim bridge at Khandola-Marcel on Sunday. The barrier had been damaged after a truck rammed into it in Sep 2023, resulting in the death of the driver from Mysuru, Karnataka.
The bridge was closed for all vehicular traffic between 11 am and 5 pm on Sunday, and the traffic was diverted via the Banastarim bridge.

Dilip Joshi, the chief general manager of the GSIDC, said they have finally fixed the vertical height barrier near the Govt college, Khandola-Marcel.
The barrier is important to keep an eye on, as the bridge is only for light motor vehicles, said Joshi.
