Laxmi Agarwal shares journey of resilience at Goa retreat

Acid attack survivor and activist Laxmi Agarwal recently attended the Energy Queens Retreat Expansion in Goa. The event was hosted by Energy Coach Ritu Agarwal, founder of I Deserve Life Systems. More than 250 women participated in the three-day retreat, focused on energy management and overcoming obstacles.

During the event, Laxmi engaged in a conversation with Ritu, who asked her about the source of her courage. Laxmi attributed her resilience to her innate positivity, saying it motivates her to continue despite challenges. Laxmi shared her story, recounting the 2005 acid attack she faced after refusing a marriage proposal. Despite the attack, she became an advocate against acid attacks and fought for legal changes in India regarding acid sales.

Laxmi emphasized the importance of creating a safe space for children, urging parents to foster healthy competition and open communication. She shared her regret of not speaking to her family about the harassment she faced, highlighting her desire to ensure her daughter feels free to share her thoughts.

Ritu Agarwal also addressed the attendees, providing guidance on balancing personal and professional demands through energy mastery. The retreat focused on helping women harness their inner strength and pursue their goals.
