Tree collapses onto Pilgao house

Bicholim: A large tree fell on a house at Mathwada, Pilgao, at around 1.30am on Wednesday, causing extensive damage to the roof and structure. No injuries or loss of life were reported.Bicholim fire brigade personnel, led by SFO Rahul Desai, began rescue and debris-clearing operations. Due to the severity of the damage, a second team was deployed. The operation continued until 2pm, when the debris was cleared.Local MLA Premendra Shet assured immediate compensation to the affected family for damage to the roof and other parts of the house.
