Zenito Cardozo arrested, booked under National Security Act

PANAJI: The police on Wednesday night arrested allegedly notorious Zenito Cardozo of St Cruz from the city and booked him under the National Security Act (NSA). North Goa SP Vishram Borkar confirmed this, saying Cardozo has been sent to the Central Jail, Aguada.
The North Goa police had recommended to district collector Mihir Vardhan to issue an order to book him under NSA.Sources said that the district collector cleared the file on Wednesday.
Police sources said Cardozo was allegedly involved in various criminal activities in the past which include cases of murder, attempt to murder, gang wars and extortion.
NSA was invoked in Goa in December 2012 to crack the whip against anti-social elements and Raju alias Tiger Talwar, 27, of Khareband, Margao, was recently arrested under NSA.
