GURGAON: A former employee of a Gurgaon-based software firm has been booked for allegedly hacking into the Facebook account of his boss and posting objectionable pictures on it. He also allegedly created a fake e-mail ID under her name and sent porn videos to the staff. The employee had been removed from his job in February this year.
The victim is a director of the company in Sector 5 and had reported to the police in April about her account being hacked. The cyber cell helped her close the account, but the accused, who is in his late 20s, allegedly continued to harass her through the fake e-mail ID.
The police zeroed in on him based on the IP address used to post the images and videos. An FIR was filed under sections 294 (obscene acts and songs), 509 (insulting modesty of woman), 354-D (stalking) of IPC and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act. But police haven't been able to arrest him.
"Based on the cyber cell report, an FIR has been lodged and we are conducting raids to nab the accused," said inspector Sandeep Kumar, SHO, Palam Vihar police station.
