Guwahati: The members of Subhash Nagar Sarbajanin Durga Puja committee will pay a special homage to the late music icon,
Zubeen Garg, during this year’s celebration. On the opening day of their pandal, residents from different areas will be coming together to remember the legendary singer, often hailed as the heartthrob of Assam, through songs and prayers.
In a heartfelt initiative, the committee has organized a tribute where locals will sing some of Zubeen’s most iconic and evergreen songs. Alongside the musical homage, devotees will offer prayers in his memory, turning the opening of the pandal into a celebration of both culture and remembrance. “Zubeen da was not just a singer, he was a source of inspiration and joy for millions. This tribute is our way of expressing gratitude and keeping his memory alive in our hearts,” said Abhijit Choudhary, the treasurer of the committee.
