Five arrested with heroin in Dhubri

Dhubri: Five drug peddlers, including a woman, were arrested by Sapatgram police in Dhubri district on Saturday night, reports Bijoy Sharma.Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap and intercepted an e-rickshaw carrying five persons. On searching their bags, police recovered 16 soap cases containing 186 grams of heroin.The accused have been identified as Sofiqul Islam, Samsul Haque, Hakimul, Sanwar Ali, and Halima Khatun.They were taken to Sapatgram police station and are being interrogated to gather further information about others involved in the drug trafficking network in the district, police sources said.
