Shillong: The NEIGRIHMS (North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences), Shillong, has highlighted the importance of ‘early recognition’ of symptoms of stroke in patients for effective treatment.
The premier central govt health institute organised Continuing Medical Education (CME) Summit Stroke Day on Feb 28 under the theme ‘Strengthening the Stroke Care Continuum – from Early Recognition to Rehabilitation’.
The CME was conducted in collaboration with the Shillong Neuro Club under the aegis of the Association of Neuroscientists of Eastern India with academic support from the Indian Stroke Association. The programme was accredited with CME Credit Points by the Meghalaya Medical Council.
